Cats have overtaken dogs as the most popular pet in North America. It is not surprising, as they are cute and cuddly, entertaining, make great companions, and are relatively low maintenance. Cats have endeared themselves to humans in ways that no other animal has. They can be very loving, yet still maintain a sense of allure and mystique. More often than not, the cat chooses the human rather than the other way around.
Although I have had cats in my life before, I never fully realized what special creatures they are until Tommy came to live with us. A big, beautiful male tabby, he was born to a feral mother, and rescued in the critical stages of kittenhood. Tommy won my heart, and the hearts of everyone around him. He was truly a blessing.
Thanks to Tommy, I have become an enlightened cat person. I realize that my lot in life is to serve my feline friends, and I strive for better ways to do this. This blog is about my journey in my relationship with the felines in my life. Sometimes humorous, at other times serious, life with felines is anything but boring.
